1.3. EDIT Menu
Undo (Ctrl+Z)
Allows you to undo the last operation executed. ADMET Predictor lets you undo up to three operations, though that limit can be modified from the [Change application settings dialog]. Note that some operations, such as column sorting, cannot be undone.
Redo (Ctrl+Y)
Allows you to re-apply the last undone operation.
Copy Structure (Ctrl+C)
Copies the selected structure to the clipboard. The copied structure can be pasted into drawing programs such as MedChem Designer or Chemdraw as a "live" structure, or it can be pasted into programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint as an image. Please note that this option is disabled unless exactly one compound is currently selected.
Copy As SMILES
Copies the SMILES for the selected structure to the clipboard. The copied SMILES can be pasted as a structure into programs such as MedChem Designer or Chemdraw, or as a text string into Microsoft Word and other programs. This option is disabled unless exactly one row is currently selected; if you want to copy and paste structures from multiple rows, you need to go through MedChem Designer.
Insert Clipboard Structure
Imports a single compound compound from the clipboard into the spreadsheet. If the structure is valid, a new row will be appended to the spreadsheet. The Insert compounds from sketch dialog accepts a structure from MedChem Designer or, via the clipboard, from another sketching tool such as ChemDraw.
Insert Clipboard SMILES
Allows you to add a compound to the spreadsheet by entering its SMILES code from the clipboard or by hand. The Import compound from SMILES dialog also lets you check the SMILES by first translating it into a structure. The new structure is appended as the last row in the spreadsheet.
Query By Structure/Property (Ctrl+Q)
Lets you use queries to search the spreadsheet based on (sub)structure or properties of interest.
Find Text (Ctrl+F)
Lets you search the spreadsheet for textual attribute values. It can be used to find a compound by a specific name or identifier.
Find Column (Ctrl+Alt+F)
Helps you find where a particular column is located in the spreadsheet, then scrolls the spreadsheet horizontally so that the requested column appears at the left side. The dialog supports partial name as well as full text matching.
Search And Replace
Lets you replace one value of a specified attribute with another. It works on text-based attributes.
Select All (Ctrl+A)
Selects all rows in the spreadsheet.
Deselect All (Ctrl+D)
Deselects all rows in the spreadsheet. Deselection of a single row can be achieved by clicking on that row while the Ctrl key is pressed.
Invert Selection (Ctrl+I)
Selects the rows that are not currently selected and deselects those that are currently selected.
Select Using File
Prompts for the location of a compound attribute to search against (compound identifier is the default) and a .txt file containing text strings to use for selection. Note that the text comparison is case insensitive.
Select Pareto Optimal Subset...
Selects compounds that are Pareto optimal with respect to one or more chosen compound attributes. The options dialog for this feature is similar to the one displayed for the AIDD feature; please consult that section for a description of the Pareto selection algorithm and the concept of Pareto layers.
Move Rows >> moves selected rows to a specified location in the spreadsheet:
>> To Top (Ctrl+T) moves all selected rows to the top of the spreadsheet.
>> To Bottom (Ctrl+B) moves all selected rows to the bottom of the spreadsheet.
>> Above Reference... puts selected rows above a specified row in the spreadsheet
>> Below Reference... puts selected rows above a specified row in the spreadsheet.
Rows can also be moved manually by drag-and-drop.
Delete... (Del)
Deletes the selected rows and the data associated with them from the spreadsheet. This is different than applying any of the [VIEW >> Hide/Unhide] options.
