4.2.6. Sorting The Classes

The classes displayed in the Classes tab can be sorted by any of the values contained in the spreadsheet columns, with the exception of the Representative Molecule and Star Plot columns. To sort, click the header row of the column containing the property of interest. Clicking a single time yields an ascending sort, and a second time yields a descending sort. A third click will cause the order to revert back to the original. The ascending and descending sort states are indicated by up and down arrows on the header row.

To perform a hierarchical sort (a secondary sort, for example), sort an initial column using the procedure above, then click a second column header while holding down the Ctrl key. The second column will now be secondarily sorted with respect to the first column, as indicated by a (smaller) arrow on its header cell.

You can also opt to sort only those classes that are currently selected in the spreadsheet. To sort selected classes only, right click on the desired column header, then select the Sort option from the context menu and specify the desired sort instructions on the ensuing dialog.

The DATA>>Restore Original Row Order option can be used to restore the row order to its original state.
